Ending Life Skills Workshops for Dormitory Students

The Department of Peace and Conflict Studies of this centre in Cooperation with the Gender Department of the Ministry of Higher Education held a joint program on ‘Nonviolent Communication’ for 90 students who resided in Kabul University dormitories. These students were trained in three rounds of one-week workshops, followed by three rounds of three workshops on ‘Life Skills’. The latter workshops were held for half days between October 18 and December 31, 2014. On the certificate ceremony day of the third Life Skills workshop, advisor to Gender Department of Higher Education Ministry, Coordinator of GIZ civil peace service program, director of NCPR, the trainer of the workshop, head and staff of Peace and Conflict Studies Department of NCPR and two students from the participants spoke in this ceremony and emphasized on the importance of such programs.
